◆Episode-3
We visited Dining SW3, which held the 2019 “Tajima Fair in London“. Five years ago, the event was held in Knightsbridge (the upscale area where Harrods is located) in central London, as an event to promote Tajima ingredients to the world, run by Tajima companies, mainly from Katashima.

The local staff who helped make Katashima’s huge global event a success have overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, which was even more severe than in Japan, and are now back to their pre-COVID-19 routines and working hard every day.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology, they created a variety of truly oriental, world-class dishes that went beyond the category of Japanese fusion.
We realized once again that collaborating with such a wonderful restaurant was a truly valuable and irreplaceable experience for us.
◆Episode-4
Looking at London today from the perspective of restaurants, patisseries, and bakeries, you can see how things have clearly changed since five years ago.
Having overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has clearly evolved deeply, and it’s amazing how far it has come in just five years.
As you would expect from London, a global city! It clearly shows that everything in the world gathers where the money gathers.
The London market continues to evolve
Japan, which is suffering from the weak yen and high prices, needs to work hard to catch up to this level, otherwise it will be left behind by the rest of the world.
Compared to five years ago, prices are 1.5 times higher, and the exchange rate is also 1.5 times higher, meaning it is more than doubled! When converted into yen, everything seems to be ridiculously expensive. Even so, thriving stores are so busy that it is difficult to get a reservation, and the streets are full of people and are full of energy. Hats off to this power.
